Q + A

RSVP, Plus-Ones and Children

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We invite you to RSVP online here https://www.elizabethandchantz2025.wedding/us/elizabeth-nicklow-and-chantz-ballard-dec-2025/rsvp .

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by October 4, 2025. We’re so excited to celebrate with you and appreciate your timely response!

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

If a plus one wasn’t included in your invitation, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests. To respect the venue’s capacity and prioritize close family, we’ve had to keep the guest list limited. We truly appreciate your understanding!

Am I allowed to bring my children?

To ensure all our guests can relax and enjoy the celebration, we’ve decided to make our wedding a child-free event. We hope this advanced notice allows you to make the necessary arrangements, and we truly appreciate your understanding!

Wedding Dress Code

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Formal attire for our wedding means dressing up a bit to celebrate the day! For men, this could be a suit and tie or something similar, and for women, a nice dress, a skirt and top, or even a dressy pantsuit works great. We just ask that you skip casual wear like jeans, flannels or sneakers. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

The colors of our wedding are sophisticated, earthy winter tones like deep green, brown, brass, and copper. While you’re welcome to wear whatever formal attire you prefer, incorporating these colors would beautifully complement the theme if you'd like!

Menu and Dietary Restrictions

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

We kindly ask that you include any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure to accommodate your needs. Your comfort and enjoyment are important to us!

Will there be an open bar?

We’ll be serving select specialty cocktails, beer, soda, tea, and water for everyone to enjoy!

Wedding Registry and Gifts

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, we kindly ask that you have it delivered to our home at 109 Redbud Dr, Louisa, VA 23093, as it’s not convenient for us to pack wrapped gifts at the end of the reception. For your convenience, a wedding card box will also be available at the reception.

Can you send me a link to your wedding registry?

In lieu of a traditional registry, we’ve set up a fund to help us create lasting memories on our honeymoon and contribute to building our future home. If you’d like to contribute, please click the "Honeymoon Fund" link in the website's header.

Sharing the Moment

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

We are having an unplugged ceremony, so we kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and first dance to allow our photographers to capture the best moments. There will be plenty of opportunities for you to take photos on your phone during the reception and other parts of the celebration. We appreciate your understanding!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

We kindly ask that all guests refrain from posting photos of the bride and groom on social media until we’ve had a chance to release our professional photos. This will help ensure we have the opportunity to share our special moments first. Thank you for your understanding!

What is your wedding hashtag?

Our wedding hashtag is #ElizabethTakesAChantz! Feel free to use it when sharing your photos and memories from our special day!

Will you be live-streaming your wedding?

We will not be live-streaming our wedding. We’re so excited to celebrate with those who can attend in person, and we appreciate your understanding!
